The New Boston Police Department has partnered with Crime Reports for a new crime mapping feature for the New Boston area to show current and up to date crime reports taken in New Boston. These  crime reports are uploaded daily to Crime Reports and then they are mapped to New Boston’s area streets. Also on the Crime Reports website, you be sign up to have instant email crime alerts sent to you when a crime report is taken near your home.

Posted October 19th: NBPD is investigating tires being cut on ten vehicles located between the 3200 block to the 3600 blocks. Outside surveillance footage from one residence shows two white male boys between the ages of 12 years to 14 years old cutting tires on one vehicle. Anyone with information of these crimes or if you have heard who the boys are can call into NBPD’s crime hotline at 456-4144 and leave the crime tip.

 

Posted 12/17/10: NBPD has had a total of six homes broken into within a three week period all in the same areas of 3200 blocks to 3400 blocks of Rhodes Avenue and Gallia Street. NBPD believes there is a possible Serial Burglar who is hitting all of these homes. If any citizen sees a suspicious person or persons  and vehicles in these area please call the police dispatcher and report the incident so a Officer can be dispatch to check out the activity. Currently NBPD has stepped up more patrols in these areas and there has been undercover Officers doing surveillance also.

The Police Department’s crime and drug tip hotline number is 740-456-4144. You can report activities in your area without giving your name. Just leave your message on the hotline answering machine and we will investigate your complaint. This is not for crimes in progress, you need to call 911 if you see a crime in progress.
