Presented to Officers killed (posthumous) or seriously injured in the line of duty. That goes above and beyond the call of duty while facing imminent danger, of great bodily harm or death. |

Presented to Officers for bravery above and beyond the normal call of duty while facing imminent danger, of great bodily harm or death. |

Purple Heart Award |
|
Presented to Officers who have wounded in the line of duty in a life or death event. |
|
Police Shield Award |
|
Presented to Officers who have been injured in the line of duty that does not fall within the guidelines of the Medal of Honor or Medal of Valor or Purple Heart Awards. |

Certificate of Merit Award |
|
Presented to Officers for outstanding service, including investigations and apprehensions, to which great time is devoted, or great risk of harm is present in a event. |

Continuous Certificate of Merit Award |
|
Presented to Officers who have received the Certificate of Merit Award in more than three occasions. |

Life Saving Award |
|
Presented to Officers who have helped save the life of a person. |

Community Service Award |

Presented to Officers who’s involvement with starting or continuing a program that results in improving the overall quality of life in the community. |

Meritorious Conduct Award |
|
Presented to Officers for outstanding conduct and self actions while in the line of duty that exhibits dedication, honor, courage, and integrity to the department in a event. |

Continuous Meritorious Conduct Award |
|
Presented to Officers who have received the Meritorious Conduct Award and has continued to exhibit dedication, courage, honor, and integrity to the department in more than three occasions. |

Good Conduct Award |
|
Presented to Officers who have exhibited good conduct by being courteous, respectful, helpful. |
|
Police Commendation Award |
|
Presented to Officers for outstanding work in reports, investigations, apprehensions, projects, situations, going above and beyond the call of normal service to others. |

Instructor Certification Award |
|
Presented to Officers who are certified instructors by OPOTA or other certification agencies. |

Distinguished Service Award |

Presented to Officers for dedication to the dept. for no sick days or other call offs, in each year. |
