On Tuesday, April 23rd, Officer Carmicahel located a stolen vehicle in the 3300 block allyway. The red Hyundai Elantra was reported stolen from the Wheelersburg area on March 5th. The vehicle also had a West Virginia license plate on it and after checking the tag through NCIC it was found that the West Virginia license plate was stolen from the Milton, West Virginia.
Officer Carmichael was able to locate two subjects seen getting out of the vehicle and both subjects, Christopher Maggard age 42 of Whheelersaburg and Cory Wood age 31 of Wheelersburg was arrested and charge with receiving a stolen motor vehicle, a felony in the fourth degree and receving a stolen license plate, a felony in the fifth degree. Both suspects were processed at NBPD and later transferd to the Scioto County Jail. Both suspect could be facing additional criminal charges once the case is presented to the Grand Jury.
